Britta Evensen, passed away on April 11, at the age of 78, due to a prolonged fight with Parkinson's and more recently cancer.
Britta was born on August 18, 1929 in Aalborg, Denmark. She immigrated to America with her family in 1948. Britta met and married the love of her life, Yngvar Evensen, in Salt Lake City. Together they raised five daughters.
Britta is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held many callings that she fulfilled faithfully. She was a great example of charity as she rendered countless hours of service to others.
Preceded in death by Yngvar Evensen (Husband), and Brandon Bullock (grandson). She is survived by her daughters Christine Olsen (Rick), Diane Metzler (Craig), June Burket (Ric), Nancy Beesley (Alan), and Sherry Yates (Mike); siblings Tove Roberts (Gordon), Bjarno Guglielmetti (Michelle), Kjeld Guglielmetti (Raquel); 17 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Services will be held April 16, at 2:30 p.m., at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful. Friends and family may call from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m., prior to the services.
