"Together Again"
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, left this life peacefully at her favorite place on earth, home, on April 2.
Della was born May 14, 1920, in Grantsville, to Clyde and Annie Judd Williams. Della was a life-long resident of Grantsville, graduating from Grantsville High School in 1938. She was an accomplished tennis player winning the state championship her senior year. She was an avid sports fan and a great supporter of Grantsville High School athletics. Della married the love of her life, Robert Victor Lawrence on May 14, 1943, in the Salt Lake Temple. They immediately cared for seven children who had lost their parents, also raising five of their own.
Mother always opened her home to anyone in need, offering a hot meal or a place to sleep, you were welcome. Mother was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She especially loved working with the youth and spent many years serving in the Primary and Young Women. She loved the Lord and shared her testimony through the life she lived. She loved playing games with her siblings each Monday for Family Home Evening and also loved to play games with her grandchildren. She loved to read, and could always be found reading to a young child. Her love of reading continued throughout her life. She will be remembered for the hundreds of quilts she has made and shared with all her family and friends. Her talents were many but the role she most loved was being a mother.
