Harold-Barlow

Harold Barlow, died April 9 in Tooele, he was born April 15, 1919 in Tooele to Ernest and Edith Martin Barlow. He had three brothers, Ernest, Benny and Maurice, a sister Lillian all deceased. He was a graduate of Tooele High School and the University of Utah. He was a champion tennis player.

He was a High Priest in the LDS Church. He served in many positions. He loved his service in the Iowa Des Moines Mission, Little Rock Arkansas Mission and the Tooele South Stake. Harold was married to Josephine Silver September 24, 1941. Two children were born: David Harold Barlow and Diane Barlow Caldwell. Jo died December 12, 1980. Sealed December 1981 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He retired from the Personnel Office at Tooele Army Depot and Tooele County Senior Citizen Center. On December 30, 1983 he married Barbara Paulick in the Jordan River Temple. She served three missions with him. Harold served his country in the Navy, was a member of the Sons of Pioneers and Historical Society. In 1997 he worked with Barbara to turn her family property into Speirs Farm, which is an asset to the city.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, son David Barlow (Karma L.) daughter Diane Caldwell (Glenn), step children, Teri, Barry, Cecil and Jody Ellsworth, 23 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on April 14, at 11 a.m. at the Tooele 11th ward, 180 S. Coleman. Viewing will be at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial in the Tooele City Cemetery.
