Grantsville FFA at state judging

Grantsville FFA attended state judging in Logan last week. The teams did very well. They competed in ag mechanics, floriculture, livestock, horse, dairy foods, meats, and poultry judging. Grantsville took bronze, silver and gold medals in all of the competitions. Grantsville's ag mechanics team took first in the state and have the opportunity to compete and represent Utah and Grantsville at the National Level.

Members of the ag mechanics team are Nolan Blackhurst, who placed third as the high individual, Andrew Beckett, Kyle Gregory and Mark Christensen. Floral was Emalee McNeill, Kayla Castagno and Lorin Killpack; livestock was Tyler Williams, Shelby Quarnberg, Kenny Russell and Weston Warr; horse was Olivia Cox, Ashton Martin, Raeann Langston, Devan Gonda; meats was Dillon Gibson, Keaton Myer and Tiffiny Langston; and dairy foods was Erin Murray, Randi Case, Gary Riddle and Michaela Shepherd.

The teams worked very hard and studied their materials for many long hours, and in the end it paid off. Good luck to the ag mechanics team at the national level in October.
